What is needed

We are raising £5730 to enable 8 Lancaster University students to travel to Paris and participate in the debate and challenge world leaders on global climate change and influence policy. These 8 students go with Professor Gail Whiteman and Dr Alison Stowell, academics who research and teach sustainability in business.

The story

University is not just education. It is inspiration.

Help to give these students this amazing opportunity, inspiring them to be the advocates back on campus, the Lancaster voices in the debate, and change makers in their careers. The ripple effect of this event has enormous potential. 

- Only 8 students can go. The World Business Council for Sustainable Development has limited seats at the table and Lancaster has been offered this opportunity to send representation.

- Lancaster is making a real effort to address climate change, with research, teaching and wider societal impact. This is a major step for students to be at the front line of policy making.

Where will the money go?

- £573 will fund a single student to participate.

- If we hit the full target, all 8 students can go regardless of their financial circumstances.

- If we raise more than the target, it will enable us to increase the ripple effect with inspirational sharing events.

- We will update all donors regularly on the progress and results

- Transport and Accommodation per person £336

- Food per person     £180

- Transport within Paris (3 day metro pass) £30

- Additional Activities (Students will pay for their own free time) £30
