Our story...
We are third year fine art students at Oxford Brookes University fundraising for our degree show in May 2015.
The Fine Art degree show is an opportunity for us to exhibit our work to colleagues, family, friends and the public. On display will be a wide variety of art from painting to performance as the culmination of three years of hard work by each individual student. The organisation of the week long exhibition is completely student led and thus we are doing everything we can to raise the necessary funds to make this year's show the best Brookes has ever seen.
In order to make this exhibition exciting and professional we need your help to generate as much money as possible which will go towards the production of a catalogue to accompany the show, arrangements for the private view night to kick the show off with a bang and potentially the cost of taking the show to London's Free Range event enabling us to bring selected work to a wider audience and for a number of our practicing artists to experience the London art scene first hand. It is extremely important to us as a group that all of our hard work on our fine art degrees ends on a high and that we will be able to look back and be proud of the legacy we leave at the Oxford Brookes school of arts.
As art students studying today, our vocation is an expensive one with the government and universities offering no contribution to the cost of materials we simply can't afford to fund the show ourselves and despite efforts such as bake sales, club nights and art events we are appealing to the generosity of all you art enthusiasts out there to give us a hand in reaching our target. If you are kind enough to pledge your financial support we have a number of different rewards to give away.
Breakdown of costs
Catalogue production to accompany the show (£1000)
Private viewing night expenses - i.e wine, glasses, staffing the bar (£300)
Production of walls at free range and transportation of art work (£200)
