We did it!

The target for creating a post-doctoral Research fellowship in Tibetan and Himalayan Studies has now been reached, thanks to the overwhelming and generous support from many sides. This is fantastic news, we are deeply grateful to all those who have helped to make this happen.

Due to the success of this campaign the presence of a Research Fellow will enhance the activities of the Tibetan & Himalayan Studies Centre at Wolfson and enrich the Student experience. Tibetan Studies is a relatively young discipline, emerging in Western academia only about fourty years ago. There is a huge field waiting to be explored. The research Fellowship is one further step in the enormous task of researching, preserving and publicising the wealth of more than a thousand years of Tibetan History, literature, religion and art.

We will be contacting individuals and providing more information regarding claiming rewards in the New Year.

Once again, thank you helping and season’s greetings to you all.

Good afternoon everyone,

As you can see, we are very close to our target for ensuring Tibetan Cultural Heritage continues to be preserved at Oxford! Your support and donations have been fantastic and vital for making this campaign succeed! We are very grateful and thankful for all your generous support, so,we would like to say a huge thank you!

There are still 5 days left and we only need £1,858 (remember all donations are match funded, so £1 donation is actually £2!), so if you would like to help even further then please spread the message through Facebook, twitter and your colleagues!
