Raising $62,000 for a Chance to Pursue A Dream Career in Art Business

summary

I'm raising $62,000 to cover my tuition and school fees to study in the Master of Art Business program at the Sotheby's Institute of Art. It's such an honour to be given this opportunity, however the fees are far above the amount that I and my family can afford.

ABOUT ME

I'm Sharon Obuobi. I manage an art conversational platform called AADATArt (www.aadatart.com), which I founded in 2013. I'm truly passionate about what I do, and would cherish the opportunity to study in the Masters of Art Business program at the Sotheby's Institute of Art.

MY story

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2013, I've worked on various art projects in New York, Accra, Lagos, Senegal, and London. With a Masters in Art Business, I plan to be at the forefront of innovation and business development in the art market. I'm passionate about creating incredible interactive experiences for viewers engaging with art, and making art accessible tot he public for the benefit of the artist and the public.

I've managed to secure $12,000 in scholarship funding from Sotheby's, but I still have $54,800 in tuition fees and $6,300 in school costs to raise. I've applied for student loans, but the eligibility requirements are making that very difficult and delayed. I need all the help I can get.

Where will the money go?

Breakdown of costs:
- $54,800 - Tuition Fees
- $6,300 - Curriculum Integrated School Trips
- $16,000 - Housing accommodation

The first set of funds will cover tuition first. Afterwards, I will be able to pay for school trips. If I exceed my target, I will still have to cover living expenses in New York City (housing accommodation).

TUITION DEADLINEs

1st Semester - July 31 - $21,600 + $6,300
2nd Semester - Dec 11 - $22,600
3rd Semester - Aug 1 - $22,600

Rewards

I have some amazing rewards to thank everyone who donates, whatever the amount you might give. Please check them out in the right hand column.
