Please help our Formula Student team race at Silverstone

Help students who are passionate about Engineering to design, build and race a single-seat race car against teams from around the world. Then come along to see the car and meet the team!

WHO ARE TEAM HARE?

Team HARE (Huddersfield Automotive Racing Enterprises) are a group of students who represent the University of Huddersfield in the worldwide Formula Student (FS) competition. Run by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, this is Europe's most established educational motorsport competition.

Each year a new team, drawn from the latest cohort of MEng Engineering students, come together to design, build and race a single-seat race car against teams from Universities around the world.

We are passionate about engineering and totally committed to this project!

Taking part in Formula Student gives us the chance to demonstrate our technical, engineering design, and manufacturing skills. We also learn important lessons on team working, time management, project management, budgeting and presentation: all things that any prospective employer will be looking for, thus improving our chances of getting jobs once we graduate.

Team HARE were the top-ranking University team in the UK in 2013!

WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP...

This life-changing venture is almost totally funded by our efforts to raise sponsorship and donations, an integral part of the learning experience being a real-life baptism into the financial tribulations of race-team funding.

Amongst the most expensive things we need are tyres. That’s where you come in. No matter how amazing our design or how hard we work to complete it, if we don’t have tyres, we’re not going anywhere!

Our target of £750 will enable us to buy four tyres for our race car. As soon as the 4 weeks are up and assuming we reach our target, we will contact you about your rewards!
