Help us raise the money for a new college camera!

What we do

Film-making society in Josephine Butler College, Durham University started up in September and its activities have grown over the course of the year. Film and videos are increasingly becoming a central part of Butler events in promotion and recording, as well as important part of the actual events too. For example for the Charity event Butler's Got Talent in aid of Gracehouse Children's Hospice we recorded VT videos and the Butler drama society, STAB, used film in their recent production of Chatroom. However as the film projects in Butler become increasingly ambitious and interesting the recording equipment itself is limiting, despite fantastic editing facilities. Learn a bit about our college and check out videos we've done for events below.

Why we need your help

We have been offered a college bursary for new equipment but need to raise a final £250 to give us enough money to buy a new camera, tripod and boom mike. This will give us the scope to expand what is already a popular part of Butler College life.

This is a video we made for our open days last year. Learn a bit about college activities at the same time as seeing what we can do!

We recorded videos as part of our Charity Butler's Got Talent event.

Film is being incorporated into all areas of Butler life. This is an example of a football report.

Our latest big event was our annual Fashion Show in aid of Gracehouse Children's Hospice. This is a promo video we made for the event.
