Konichiwa! We are the J Double C; this stands for the Japanese Culture Club. Originally we started off as a group focused on learnig the Japanese language, and passing the GCSE. However, we decided we don't just want to pass the GCSE, we want to get A's. We figured the best way to do this is to go on an educational visit to Japan. This would be important to us as it would give us a opportunity to experience the language first hand.
However, this is not our only goal.
We set up the J Double C as not only a means to promote fundraisers, but also to give something back to the community, and to share our interest in Japanese culture with the people of the UK.
The funds would help support our journey, although Sponsorcraft is'nt the only way we hope to raise money. We also carry-out practical fundraisers such as Japanese classes for a day, raffles at our school, and by getting people to sponsor us to complete fun and exciting fundraisers.
The trip
We hope to travel to Japan around the 20th/21st of July (the first week of the summer holidays), and to stay in central Tokyo, although we will be visiting many places, such as Shibuya, Roppongi, and hopefully Osaka. While we're there, we hope to get a taste of Japanese culture, as well as the food!
Even if you can't sponsor us, we would very much appreciate it if you helped to spread word of our project, though any donations are greatly appreciated!
