What We Are Doing!
An interactive theatre performance taking place at the live art space, The Island, in central Bristol.
The audience are invited to a screening of a documentary on the infamous super villain, The Joker. The superhero days now long gone and bereft of an adversary, The Joker lives out a washed up retirement. Until now, The Joker is making one more attempt to take to the stage, as a stand up comedian.
The screening will take place in The Joker's own flat, where the audience can marvel at a variety of gadgets, gizmos and oddities accumulated by The Joker, meet The Clown Prince face-to-face, along with the documentary film-maker, Lewis Parker, and then settle into the premiere of The Jokes Over, followed by a dramatic live finale.
The project is a comedy drama for anyone over 16 (there will be some mild violence and swearing). We are constructing a purpose-built set and an assortment of interactive toys and props, and working with the actors to provide a great improvised and immersive experience.
What We Need!
To help us raise enough money to cover the costs of materials, props, and a small fee to the actors, as well as money for hiring the space, we would greatly appreciate a small donation!
The production will take place from 8th-10th May. We will have up to 3 shows a day for up to 15 people at each performance, so there will be plenty of chance to come along!
