What is LUST?
Liverpool University Student Theatre, more commonly know as LUST, is a student run society based at the University of Liverpool. We welcome local students with a passion for musical theatre, performers and back-stage crew alike. Our aim is to provide quality theatre at low prices for our audiences and our members. The Witches of Eastwick
The Witches of Eastwick Musical is a musical adaptation of the novel written by John Updike. It was later recreated as a film starring Jack Nicholson, Cher, Susan Sarandon and Michelle Pfeiffer. The musical features lyrics by John Dempsey and music by Dana P. Rowe.
The story is based around three witches, Alex, Jane and Sukie. Bored by their mundane lives in the town of Eastwick, a shared longing and desire for a perfect man comes to life in the form of a charismatic stranger Darryl Van Horne. Seducing each of the women in turn Darryl teaches them how to further expand the powers locked within and scandalizes the town.
Featuring many up-beat, jazzy and devilish songs, The Witches of Eastwick Musical will put on a spell on you and help release your magic!
Funding
As we are a student-run society our funds are very limited. We have to rely on the money we make on each show in order to continue putting on full-scale musicals. As acquiring the rights and tech for shows is expensive, and we don't charge our audiences much, we sometimes struggle to afford everything a good production needs.
With your contribuition you will help pay for the rights, tech, costumes, props and promotion. Anything you're willing to donate is very much appreciated and will be used in some way or another towards the show!
Money Isn't Everything
We ask you to possibly give as much as you can, any donation is AMAZING to us! However if you can't donate, we'd really appreciate it if you could tell people about our show and possibly ask them to donate? Again, ANY donation is amazing, no matter the size!
