WE DID IT!!!

Thank you SO, SO very much to each and everyone who helped with this campaign! Whether you donated 1, 10 or 500 pounds, or just shared the project page with your friends, I am truly grateful for your help and the vote of confidence in me that it represents.

The success of this campaign means that I can graduate with my degree this year - I cannot explain to you how big of a relief this is!

Rewards: I will be submitting my thesis in late spring next year, which means that acknowledgements and copies of my thesis will go out in about 6 months. However, I'll start rolling out the "social shout-outs" throughout the rest of this month and in December - when my winter break starts - I'll send out thank-you cards :)

I will continue to post intermittent updates a couple of times a term so everyone knows how my programme is progressing. 

Starting this crowdfunding campaign was a difficult decision and a lot of hard work, but it has been a very inspirational experience for me. I have received countless messages of encouragement, and have been really moved at how many people were prepared to help me to their fullest extent. At times like this, ones natural pessimism really takes a dive in the face of such kindhearted selflessness. Above all, I have been amazed at seeing to what extent my friends are willing to go when I really need it, and that is something I will never forget.

Dear supporters,

Thanks to your phenomenal response and generosity, my campaign has already reached £3,000 which is 3/4 of the minimum goal that I need to graduate! I can't believe how much support and positive encouragement I have received in the past few days, which - above all - has been a really humbling experience.

Although my campaign has slowed down in the past couple of days, this is to be expected. I am confident that it will pick up again towards the end as the 5th of November nears, because the deadline (and minimum threshold) will add urgency and allow me to reach out to a wider audience.

If you have not done so already, please consider contacting a couple of your close connections and ask them to share my page and/or pitch in a few pounds. It is important to keep the momentum going so it inspires others to help out, and any and everything helps. The end is in sight, but fundraising the next £1000 won't be nearly as easy.

P.S.: Don't forget my minimum is £4000 and £6000 is merely the ideal goal to help me reduce short-term loans. Also, if you have time to share the campaign please emphasize my pledge to pay it forward :)

In less than 24 hours, I have already raised 890 which is absolutely amazing! Please help the momentum going by spreading the word with close friends and family.

Also, the £6,000 target is an 'ideal' whereas in practice all I am aiming for is £4,000, which means I am already more than 20% of the way :)
