The Project

My name is Nicole Ratel. I started playing Softball when I was 5, even then I knew I wanted to be on a National Team. I joined the British National Softball team in grade 10 and have played with them since. I played with the Juniors in Brampton, Toronto for the World's, in 2013 and now I have been picked to play with the Women's in the Worlds, in Haarlem, Netherlands. 

This is imported to me because I have dreamed of playing at the highest level possible for my sport since I was 5. This is the first time EVER that the British Women's team has qualified to play at the Worlds. I want my dream to come true, all I need is the help to get there.  

So the question is: Will you help me reach my dream?

I appreciate any donation, big or small. The reason I need help is because since softball was taken out of the Olympics in 2008, all funding has stopped. It cost a lot to travel and play this sport. All the money is coming from myself and my family to let me travel and represent this country. It gets harder every year, especially since I am a full time student with no income. 

Since the team lives all over the world and we only get to practice with each other once or twice a year, it adds the cost to travelling and playing. This year I will not only be away for 10 days for this tournament but I leave a week early so the team can train together and get over jet lag. So myself and family are paying for 17 days away, which adds up to a lot of money. 

Any money that I raise through this will go directly to the costs of this trip. It will get me one step closer to getting there and reaching my dream.
