What do we want to achieve? 

We want to reduce the financial burden of attending university for students. 

Did you know that 18.2% of full-time domestic students indicate that they regularly go without food or other necessities because they cannot afford these essential items?  [Australian University Student Finances in 2012 Final Report]. For many students, attending university is expensive.  Fees, books, food, petrol, bus tickets, rent and necessities are financial realities that students must overcome.  Studying a university degree should be based upon merit, aspiration and the pursuit of greater knowledge.  It should not be impacted by financial hardship. 

Students need support and you can help!  By donating as little as $25, you could provide students with a campus food voucher.  Alternatively, you could change the life of a student by funding a scholarship.

Nearly 7,000 Curtin University students come from low socio-economic backgrounds.  [Curtin University Office of Strategy & Planning]. These students need your help!  By funding this project, you will affirm the value of education while relieving the financial stress of students that will ensure an awesome future for Australia’s leaders of tomorrow!

If 500 of Curtin’s 190,000+ alumni support this initiative with $50 each, we can raise $25,000 and make a real difference to Curtin students! 

Please choose from one of the options below. 

$25 – Can provide a food and beverage voucher.  Less two-minute noodles, more healthy meals!  Alleviate financial stress and ensure students don’t go without food and necessities.

$40 – Bookstore vouchers.  What do students need?  Textbooks and stationery of course! 

$85 – Technology.  Students need computers and laptops for their studies.  A donation of $85 or more could go toward technology vital for a student to complete their studies.

$500 – Financial assistance.  Our struggling students need your support.  What better way to show it than by providing financial assistance! 

$1,000 – Scholarship.  Be bold and support Australia’s brightest minds! Ease a student’s financial stress so they can focus on changing minds, lives and the world.
