An analogue-based photographic film/camera exchange project.

Who are we?

OneGiantArm is a group of young creatives rooted in the South-West of England (Bristol), founded by Joe Williams and Tommy Sussex in 2010.

Working in both Digital and traditional media, we bring together diverse bodies of unique work by established and emerging artists from around the world. Our latest project at OneGiantArm is Disposable?

What is Disposable??

The idea behind the project is to send disposable cameras to amateur and professional photographers around the world to display their personal photographic style within the restraints of a disposable camera.  Once they have used the camera they post it back to us and we process the film.

By utilising the postal service this obviously slows the turnaround of the project and leaves the photographer with no opportunity to edit or select their final outcome. We believe this is an important experiment in an ever growing digital age. The resulting images will be featured in a group exhibition that we have organised for May this year to run in line with The Bristol Festival of Photography.

How will your donations be used?

We are looking for funding to process the submitted disposable camera films and the printing costs of the exhibition and a publication featuring the work of photographers involved.
