"The UK's finest student sketch troupe" (Darren's mum) take their debut show to The Edinburgh Fringe

Who are you? No, not you, us!

We are The Exeter Revue, the brand new comedy society at the University of Exeter. We perform live shows consisting of sketches, songs and stand up comedy, and despite being new this year we have produced a number of sell-out shows and quite simply want to achieve our ultimate goal this summer.

What are you doing? No, not you, us again!

From the 2nd to the 23rd August, we will be taking our first ever show to The Edinburgh Fringe festival so that we can put student comedy at Exeter on the map and perform alongside some of the best acts around. All of the big names in comedy started at the fringe, so you could be helping the next big thing to break through the industry's hypothetical wall by giving them a hypothetical hammer of experience made of money. Before heading up there, we'll also be performing a preview show at The Balham Fringe on the 21st June.

Why do you need my money? No, not ours...you get the idea.

We can't make this dream a reality without your help. We have a great show and a very talented group of people behind it, but because of how expensive it is to take a show to Edinburgh we won't be able to make it without your support (and other such charity clichés).

As we are a new society, we lack the savings the older ones already have, and although we have raised as much as we can, we still need your help to raise the money we need for Fringe regisration, accomodation (including the accomodation deposit), and production values such as costumes, props etc.

As you'll appreciate, many students can't afford to pay their own way for a project like this, so if we don't reach our goal, these people will lose out and we won't be able to perform at all.

This isn't just about money. It's about doing what we love.

Writing and performing comedy is our passion. For us, making people laugh is what makes us tick. That is why this means so much to us. It's not just about writing jokes. It's about creating an experience for our audience and growing as a cast over the three week stint. We should probably write some jokes too though.
