The Oxford Belles want to keep creating music!
Who are we and what do we do?
The Oxford Belles, Oxford University's orignial all-female a cappella group, have just returned from a very successful and hugely enjoyable run at the Edinburgh Fringe (helped in part by sponsorship through a project like this one).
We hope to make our next big project a CD of all of our favourite songs and arrangements- an idea we're all really excited about already! We would like to create a CD partly as a lasting memento of all of our time in the group, and partly to try and spread the word throughout Oxford and beyond about the great a cappella scene right here in the UK.
Why we need your help!
Our show in the summer was so successful in terms of ticket sales, publicity and our growth as a group, but it still left us with inevitable overheads which every group like ours has to deal with- this term we need to clear these debts, so we're busking and performing gigs as much as we possibly can! Unfortunately, our proceeds from this term will mostly go towards repaying what we owe, leaving us with nothing to fund our incredibly exciting CD project for next term.
