A student driven initative, taking the learning experience beyond the classroom and into the world

Where did it start?

Following a strategy course abroad is purely a student initiative and aims at connecting the education program of Hotelschool The Hague with the industry. It started last year as a pilot and was undertaken again by a group of students. With this website we would like to introduce the team and explain our initiative.

Who are we?

We are a dynamic and passionate team of outstanding international students at Hotelschool The Hague, who are looking for a new challenge. We have found this challenge in following a strategic course in Miami! Being abroad in a new environment and working with a real life case company will require us to think on a higher level and challenge us throughout the process. Our vision is to shape the future by recognizing, rewarding and fueling hospitality excellence. Our goal is to provide students with an inspiring and motivating course in which they can excel at their talents & lead by example.

Stuart Feigenbaum, Lecturer in strategic development

"Taking these students abroad to work at an executive level, directly with the execution of a world class organization creates one of the most memorable experiences of their lives. Additionally this course helps them realize their potential and shows to them and all others how good they really are.

They impress and inspire me, Please give them your support."

Why crowdfunding?

So why do we need crowdfunding? Well, by gaining this experience in a changing environment we are learning from the best practices and boosting our future employ ability. But to do this we require some financial support, since we are all students that need to pay for our education and housing.

Where does the money go?

The funds raised will subsidies the students’ traveling expenses for our 5-week trip to Miami. Our aim is to give everyone selected the equal opportunity to take part in the trip leaving no one behind due to financial constraints.

The follow breakdown are our budgeted costs:

Flight:                     € 10.800     (18x 600)

Accommodation:   € 14904      (36 nights x 18 pers. x €23 per night)

Transportation:      € 3000         (for visiting the case company)

Food & Beverage:  € 6480         (€10 per person x 18 pers x 36 days)

You are of course welcome to contribute as much or as little as you want, because every contribution is highly valued and will be received with a big thank you.

But are there risks in investing in this project? No, the biggest risk in supporting our course/project is that you invest in the future managers. With this experience we bring a new and bright view into the industry and elevate industry standards worldwide.

Please sponsor us to help a group of ambitious students actualize this dream!
