Graphic design student raising funds to buy new underwear for homeless people.

Undergarments for Everyone is the campaign by University of the West of England graphic design student Ed Tolkien to raise money in order to buy new underwear for homeless people.

With this Sponsorcraft project, I hope to raise funds which I will use to buy brand new pants and socks to be donated to two of Bristol’s homelessness charities: St Mungo’s in Stokes Croft, and the Julian Trust Night Shelter in St Pauls. I am also raising money through a series of collection boxes; one situated at each of UWE’s Frenchay, Bower Ashton and St Matts campuses, and at two different Salvation Army charity shops in Bristol.

This campaign follows my project entitled Warm Clothes, where I collected donations of hats, scarves and gloves etc. for homeless people over the the month of December 2011. After talking to people on the streets, the type of garments they said were most difficult to come by was underwear. So here we are!
